Magdalene’s world is one that fuses matrimony, innovative training techniques, progressive study and chocolates – and a vibrant teenager that keeps this world spinning around.
My career started off in the insurance industry as a claims supervisor. Later I ventured into the learning and development sector. Fast forward eleven years, I am now the Head of Talent at Talksure.
Passion is a word that is true to my character. In my pursuit for self-fulfilment, I completed an LLB degree and holds a Contact Centre Management Diploma. I – as most people know me, am a registered moderator and Skills Development Facilitator. My passion does not just stop at self-development. My passion extends towards helping people realise their true potential and giving them hope to dream bigger.
With the current socio-economic climate we find on our doorstep, I believes that there are many young individuals that lack a sense of direction in the work environment. My view is that they are desperate and the need to earn an income is what drives them to get a job, any job – albeit they lack workplace skill and energy! There is little or no energy focused on their future because their “now” seems so bleak. Inspirational leadership is needed to elevate thinking. By working with the leadership team within the business, it promotes the transmission of improved learning and development of individual learners.
I hold a vision for my team. My goal is for them to realise the impact and influence they have in making a positive contribution to the future of every learner they engage with. My firm belief is that their role is more than just a job. It is an opportunity to effect change and growth and spark desire to start the journey of self-development.
The CCMG is the Professional Body of the Contact Centre industry in South Africa and represents over 2,006 Contact Centres, 22,500 top and middle managers and 10,000 agent level individuals. The CCMG contributes to the professional growth of businesses and professionals within the Contact Centre industry, providing a forum for knowledge sharing and networking to empower and transform its members, while building on service excellence and continuous improvement within the industry.
